In 1854 a well-known fashion house Louis Vuitton was founded. Louis Vuitton gained his reputation in making luggage. That’s why he became a trunk-maker to the wife of Napoleon III.
For several years Louis Vuitton learnt the real basis of the so called voyage-friendly baggage. Then he made up his mind to deconstruct that model. So he thought of his own one. He designed very light trunks with a flat bottom made of wonderful airtight sailcloth. His trunks could simply stack and surely had easy storage.
Thus Louis Vuitton created a good travelling case. The Louis Vuitton fashion house was created in great Paris in 1854 when his first nice store was opened. He presents perfectly made trunks, boxes for hats, different luxury luggage for the travellers.
Louis Vuitton designer became famous and many other luggage makers tried to imitate Louis Vuitton’s style. In 1867 there was the universal exhibition in Paris. Louis Vuitton designer wished to stop the existing duplication of his look. That’s why in 1876 the Trianon design became light beige and brown stripes.
By the year of 1885, the company however opened its first store in London. By the year of 1888 he created the Damier Canvas pattern with registered trademark signature. After Louis’s death in 1892 the whole company’s management successfully passed to Georges Vuitton, who was his son.
Georges was eager to transform the company into a great corporation which lately exhibited its products at the Chicago Fair in 1893. Within three years the company made the signature Monogram Canvas and had the worldwide patents on it. Its graphic symbols were really based on the outstanding trend of using nice Japanese and fine Oriental designs.
Later in the USA he visited different big cities and he sold Vuitton products there. In 1901 Louis Vuitton fashion house introduced the perfect Steamer Bag – a smaller piece of luggage inside Vuitton luggage trunks.
By 1913 the world’s largest travel-goods Louis Vuitton store was opened on the Champs-Elysees. In 1932 designed the bag for wine merchants to transport the bottles.
A bit later Speedy bag was manufactured. After Georges’ death in 1936 his son, Gaston-Louis Vuitton, controlled the company and turned the whole business into a famous international brand, introducing beautiful purses and nice wallets, women’s bags. It was in 1966 when the Papillon was produced.
In 1978 the famous label opened its first stores in Tokyo and also in Osaka. Louis Vuitton widened its presence in Asia, Taiwan and South Korea. In 1985 the brilliant Epi leather line was launched. So by 1989 Louis Vuitton already operated 130 stores.
In 1997 Marc Jacobs, a designer from New York, suggested profitable clothing business and began to cooperate with Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami. Now the label presents ready-to-wear, perfect watches, fine jewelry, home and want-worthy luggage. In 1999 the company’s first wonderful ready-to-wear line of clothing appeared.
The Louis Vuitton brand is famous all about the world. Vuitton products can be seen in real Louis Vuitton boutiques, concentrated in high – quality shopping districts and also inside rich department stores. Louis Vuitton fashion house has often attracted very famous models, beautiful actresses such as Jennifer Lopez and Madonna in wonderful marketing campaigns. Celebrities in style Louis Vuitton are Jessica Simpson, Milla Jovovich, Brooke Shields, Anne Hathaway, Heidi Klum, Kate Hudson, Claudia Schiffer. They are famed brand Louis Vuitton.
